Welcome to Fairmount School! 

Fairmount School is a dynamic learning community where professional educators, specialists, staff and parents work together to provide a positive environment for students to learn and grow. Dedicated teachers deliver engaging, standards-based curriculum in child-centered classrooms aimed at meeting the needs of all students.

Established in 1959, Fairmount School serves approximately 300 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Fairmount students go on to attend O'Neill Middle School and Downers Grove South High School.  The map below illustrates the boundaries of the Fairmount School attendance area.  Fairmount School has an active PTA, which provides technological and curricular resources, cultural and fine arts programs, curricular-based field trips, as well as special school and community events.

Fairmount School has a long history of educational excellence -- engaging students in thoughtful discussions, developing innovative ideas and diving into expansive curriculum -- leading to a successful future for all Fairmount Falcons.
