District 58 invites families to register their student(s) for the 2021-22 school year using the District’s new PowerSchool Enrollment Express system! Please register by Friday, April 30.

District 58 has opened registration for all four Summer School sessions, as well as Extended School Year.

This virtual event will help families of students with special needs consider individual circumstances for keeping children safe whose disabilities may make them more susceptible and vulnerable to sexual abuse.

District 58 is pleased to announce that it will offer students four Summer School sessions and the Extended School Year program this year!

The District 58 Board of Education will hold a Curriculum Workshop on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 7 p.m. at O’Neill Middle School

After spring break (4/7/21), District 58 will offer 5 day per week, full-day onsite instruction with lunch for all students whose families indicated in-person as the learning model choice. A full remote option will continue to be offered by the District.

The March 8 School Board meeting featured an El Sierra School presentation, enrollment/staffing planning spotlight, detailed Superintendent Report, appointment of a new Lester School principal, calendar and fee approval, and more.

Superintendent Dr. Russell outlines the steps District 58 is taking to safely increase the school day more quickly. New public health guidelines for schools may impact tentative plans.

The March 10 issue of Communicate 58 includes a Dr. Russell message regarding the instructional school day, the Lester principal appointment, revised 2020-21 calendar, approved 2021-22 calendar, National School Breakfast Week and much more!

Novosel, who currently serves as Lester’s assistant principal, will begin her new role on July 1, 2021.

It takes a community: District 58 needs 150 lunchroom supervisors to extend the school day. Please sign up to be a volunteer or paid lunchroom supervisor!
