District 58 students advance to state PTA Reflections competition

The Illinois PTA has selected 20 art projects from the Downers Grove Area Council of PTAs to advance from the regional to the state level of the PTA Reflections arts recognition and achievement program. The Downers Grove Area Council of PTAs includes both Downers Grove Grade School District 58 PTAs and the DeLay-Lace PTA from District 61.

Through Reflections, students in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to submit works of art in six areas: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. The theme for the 2024-25 program is “Accepting Imperfection.”

These projects will be on display at Spotlight, a state-wide Reflections celebration in May hosted by the Illinois PTA. The Illinois PTA will also review each student’s work of art and announce those entries advancing to the national level of PTA Reflections.  Best of luck, students!
