The District 58 Board of Education will hold a Regular Business Meeting on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 7 p.m. at Downers Grove Village Hall. The public may also view the meeting remotely, via the Village of Downers Grove’s YouTube page. After the meeting has concluded, the Village will process the video and send it to District 58 to be posted on the District’s YouTube channel.
The meeting agenda covers many topics, including:
- A recommendation to approve Quest as the District 58 food service provider
- A recommendation to purchase 45 MacBooks for new staff and as part of the refresh cycle for existing staff
- A recommendation to install a poured rubber surface for the Hillcrest playground
- A recommendation to approve Tiffany Williams as the new Special Programs Coordinator, who will work with students, families, and staff in the Developmental Learning Program and with families of students who are in outplacement programs
- A recommendation to approve other certified and support staff for the 23-24 school year
- A status report from the superintendent on revised mission and vision statements and guiding principles as part of the strategic planning process

How to make a public comment during the meeting:
The Board encourages public comment from the community. There will be an opportunity for in-person visitors to make a public comment. Members of the public may communicate with the Board at any time by emailing boe@dg58.org.
