Dear District 58 Families,
At the Jan. 11, 2021 Board of Education meeting, we identified a goal of increasing instructional time for students in grades 1-8. We are exploring a number of ways that this may be possible, and we would like to ask for your input as we work to prepare a final recommendation to the Board of Education.
We are asking that you complete a brief survey — but first, please view this video (updated link!), which provides necessary context around the survey questions. (If you are unable to view the video, an outline of the text from the video can be found here.)
After viewing the video, please complete these surveys once per family based upon the students in your household. While we welcome feedback from all District families, please know that there are no plans to change the instructional model for students in preschool, kindergarten or our specialized programs. We ask you to complete the survey as soon as possible, and no later than Tuesday, Feb. 16.
We look forward to discussing this feedback as part of our recommendations to the Board of Education at the Instructional Workshop on Monday, Feb. 22.
