Greetings from Superintendent Dr. Kevin Russell

Downers Grove SD58 News

Dear District 58 Parents, Guardians and Community Members:

I hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying summer. My name is Dr. Kevin Russell, and I am the new Superintendent of Downers Grove Grade School District 58. I officially started on July 1 and am truly honored to serve as Superintendent of Schools for this great district.

I have deep roots in the community, and I am thrilled to be able to come home to District 58. I attended Downers Grove North High School and began my teaching career at O’Neill Middle School as a seventh grade Social Studies teacher. My time at O’Neill was a very rewarding experience, and I am forever grateful for the strong relationships I was fortunate to build with students, families, community members and staff.

I am extremely proud to be the Superintendent of District 58 during this exciting time. I hope to build on the tradition of excellence that makes District 58 wonderful. In addition, we have a chance to do many special things for the students. Thank you for all that you have done and will do on behalf of the students. Should you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me and I look forward to meeting all of you in person.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kevin B. Russell
Superintendent of Schools
