Grove Foundation recognizes District 58 fifth graders for good character

Downers Grove SD58 News

The Grove Foundation recognized several District 58 fifth graders with Helping Children Grow Awards this school year. The Grove Foundation is a local not-for-profit group that provides services and programs that improve the Downers Grove community.

Now in its 20th year, the Grove Foundation’s Helping Children Grow Award annually recognizes one fifth grader from each District 58 classroom for extra effort, good character and a willingness to help others.

"By paying forward our mission of giving back to the community, we are sending a message to students: Character Counts!" said Lois Kopis, co-chair of the Helping Children Grow Award program.

Award recipients were recognized at a fifth grade assembly, and they each received a certificate and a gift from Anderson’s Book Store.

Congratulations to this year’s Helping Children Grow award recipients!
