The El Sierra Fun Run returned for a fourth year with an American Ninja Warrior theme.  Despite the cool and rainy weather, the Bobcat Warriors came ready to compete! Each grade level had a chance to put their ninja warrior skills to the test with obstacles like the noodle hurdles and the always-classic tire run.  The top fundraising class at racetime, Mrs. Wyatt’s fourth grade, even got to run the course with Principal Jason Lynde! The drenched but ever smiling volunteers, along with the enthusiastic spectators, cheered all of the Bobcats across the finish line.  In total just under $10,000 was raised through the generous donations of family and friends. These funds will be used to support a variety of PTA events throughout the year such as assemblies, field trips and fun family events. In addition to the dash, El Sierra families were also treated to some incredible homemade games in the gym as part of the school’s annual Caine’s Arcade event.  Students had the option of building their own version of an arcade game at home or during recess the week before the event. Caine’s Arcade is a nationwide project that challenges children to use their imaginations and creativity to build games out of cardboard.
