Proceeds benefit the Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58
Downers Grove Grade School District 58 invites the community to attend the fifth annual Oktoberfest on Friday, Sept. 14 from 3-11 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.! The festival will take place in downtown Downers Grove, in the Forest parking lot just north of the public library. All Oktoberfest proceeds will benefit the Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58.
Oktoberfest will offer traditional German fare and beverages, as well as a Kids Zone, kids karaoke, a high school brat-eating contest, a donut-eating contest and community entertainment.
Oktoberfest’s success relies on volunteers! Sign up to volunteer at https://tinyurl.com/DGOktoberfest18Volunteer. A number of three-hour volunteer slots are open in registration, set-up, Kids Zone, beverage tent and other areas. Volunteers will receive free admission to the event.
Oktoberfest celebrates the approaching fall season, while raising money to support District 58 schools.
Oktoberfest is free for children (ages 0-13 with paying adult), volunteers, active military and veterans with military ID. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens (55+) and teenagers (14-17). Guests may purchase tickets at the door or online here.
Oktoberfest’s entertainment will showcase TKO Acoustics, Coverlicious, Stephen Peterson and ARRA on Friday night, as well as the Wayne Messmer Big Band, Tim Curran, Blue Mud and North of Eight on Saturday night. View a complete entertainment schedule and more information at www.58foundation.org.

ABOUT THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF DISTRICT 58 DOWNERS GROVE
In July 2002, 18 members of the Downers Grove community were brought together to form the Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58. The Foundation is a vehicle to obtain and distribute financial and other resources for the enhancement of educational programs at the 13 schools of Downers Grove District 58. The Foundation is committed to funding educational projects and initiatives that would not otherwise be funded by the District due to limited financial resources.
