District 58 welcomed 34 new teachers during New Teacher Week, Aug. 13-17. The teachers participated in a week-long orientation, which included in-depth professional development, introductory activities and building-based preparation time. The teachers also enjoyed luncheon events sponsored by the Lions Club, Education Foundation and DGEEA teacher's union. Community partners attended these events and shared resources and information with new teachers. District 58 is proud of its strong community partnerships!
