The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 announces its spring fundraiser concert: an evening with Blue Öyster Cult hosted by the Historic Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Ave. The show will take place Thursday, March 15 at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will open with special guest James McCoy Taylor from ABC’s “The Bachelorette.”

All show proceeds will benefit District 58 schools via the Education Foundation’s programs, which include the Teacher Grants Program, Select 58, Distinguished Service Awards and more. General admission tickets cost $85, and VIP tickets cost $105-$150. Continue the fun! Blue Öyster Cult will host an exclusive private after party event at Ballydoyle Irish Pub. After party tickets are limited and cost $100.
Blue Öyster Cult formed in the late ‘60s and is best known for the hit rock songs, “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” and “Burnin’ for You.” They have sold more than 24 million records internationally, including 7 million in the U.S. Blue Öyster Cult is considered a pioneer in the hard rock/heavy metal genre and inspired many other prominent bands, including Iron Maiden and Metallica.
Country singer James McCoy Taylor appeared in season 12 of ABC’s “The Bachelorette” and released his first music album in 2016.
The show will offer a full bar. Guests must be 21 years old to enter, and security will check IDs.
