Henry Puffer Teacher Mr. Andrew Kupisch started a new running club this fall for fifth and sixth grade boys. The club blended physical activity with social-emotional learning lessons, complementing the skills learned in the classroom. The boys finished the club’s season by running in the Wheaton Jingle Bells 5K. During their final clu
b session, the DGN Cross Country state champions visited the boys, cheering them on and sharing some personal insights into their extremely successful season. Meanwhile, Henry Puffer’s Girls on the Run Club finished their second season. This club is modeled after the nationally-recognized Girls on the Run organization, which empowers girls to their full potential.
