The spring musical takes place March 20-21!
O’Neill Middle School in Downers Grove Grade School District 58 invites the community to attend their spring musical, “Madagascar: A Musical Adventure Jr.” The show will take place Monday, March 20 at 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 21 at 7 p.m. at O’Neill, 635 59th St. Tickets cost $5 at the door.
The musical features the vocal and theatrical talents of 100 O’Neill students, as they bring to life the popular DreamWorks animated film, “Madagascar,” in a delightful format! The musical follows four friendly animal friends who reside in the Central Park Zoo, and, due to a turn of events, end up shipwrecked on the island of Madagascar. Hilarity ensures as the group explores their new home, though eventually they recognize that it is only in being lost that they can begin to discover where they truly belong.
“Madagascar: A Musical Adventure Jr.” is presented by the O’Neill seventh and eighth grade choir, under the direction of Janet Hecht and Jo Callaghan. It features the original music and lyrics by George Noriega and Joel Someillan. Music Theatre International provided the performance materials.
