In the spirit of the holiday season, the Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 invites families to thank a special teacher or staff member with a donation to its Green Apple Teacher/Staff Recognition Program.
With each donation you make, the Education Foundation will hand-deliver a specially-designed Green Apple Award card to the teacher or staff member you are honoring, with a custom message from you.
Your donation will directly support District 58’s students and staff through the Foundation’s annual Teacher Grants Program, which funds innovative programs in the classroom. This year, the District 58 Education Foundation awarded nearly $23,000 in grant funds to District 58 teachers!
Donations are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year. The deadline for Green Apples to be hand delivered before the 2016 winter break is Monday, Dec. 12. Any Green Apples received after that time will be delivered to teachers and staff when they return in January.
