District 58 celebrated all students who participated in this year’s PTA Reflections competition during a ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Herrick Middle School. The District also announced the 68 students whose 69 project submissions will advance to the regional level of the competition.
"I would like to thank all the students who submitted such creative and thoughtful entries this year,” said District 58 PTA Council Reflections Chair Laura Legare. “Thank you also to our school chairs for all the hard work they do to make this program possible."
Reflections is a national PTA arts recognition and achievement program for students. Through Reflections, students in preschool through 12th grade are invited to submit works of art in six areas: dance, film production, literature, music, photography and visual arts. The theme for the 2016-17 program is "What Is Your Story?" The Illinois PTA will likely announce the Regional PTA Reflections award recipients next month.
