Now that the Highland playground project is complete, the Highland PTA would like to focus their efforts on improving another space at Highland that every student utilizes at least weekly. The Highland PTA plans to raise funds to replace the furniture and provide other enhancements in the Highland Library. The main use of funds will be to replace the furniture in the Highland library, including bookshelves, seating, and other collaborative furniture used by students and staff. The new furniture will help enhance the space by increasing the flexibility and usability of the current library space by offering the ability for staff to easily reconfigure the space to meet a variety of needs. The project is fully supported by the building Principal and the District. In order to be able to implement improvements as quickly as possible, this porject has been broken down into two phases. Phase one (1) focuses on the main instructional space, or classroom, portion of the library, while phase two (2) focuses on the portion of the library that houses the Highland book collection. On this page you can find renderings createed by our District's furniture vendor, Henrickson, for each phase of the project as well as a list of furntire for each phase with their esitmated costs. If you have any questions or would like to make a donation to this project please reach out to Highland Principal, Zac Craft at zcraft@dg58.org.
