End-of-the-Year Spirit Days!

To celebrate all of our Huskies hard work this year, we will have spirit days leading up to Field Day on Tuesday, May 28th! Each of our spirit days were created by a different team of Highland staff members. We can't wait to see all of the great outfits during the end of May!

End of Year Family Party!

Please help us celebrate the end of another great year at Highland!

Join us Sunday, May 19 from 1pm-3pm at the Highland school yard. We will have games, balloon twisters, face painters, snacks, drinks and ice cream. The ice cream truck will be self pay, so please bring cash or a credit card. The options range in price from $3-$6 a piece.

Please sign up here to help out!! We need people to bring tents, snacks, coolers, monitor activities, set up and clean up!!

One of events that all of our students and staff look forward to the most through-out the year is Field Day! This year we are excited to bring back the dunk tank and many classic games such as tug-of-war. We are very grateful that the Highland PTA sponsors this event each year, and for the many volunteers that make this day possible.

Each year we honor a select number of Highland students in fourth through sixth grade at our annual Highland Awards Ceremony. Our Highland Awards Ceremony is schedule for Wednesday, May 29th. The ceremony will be held in the Highland gym and begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Families of those students in fourth and fifth grade who are receiving an award are invited to attend, and all sixth grade families are invited to attend. Shortly after our Awards Ceremony, we will begin our annual Sixth Grade Promotion.

Sixth Grade Promotion is an opportunity for us to reecongize all of our sixth-grader's hard work, and celebrate their upcoming transition to middle school. Following Sixth Grade Promotion, parents will be invited back to the sixth grader classrooms to take photos and celebrate the end of the year. At 11:30 a.m., parents will be directed to the field outside door 2 to participate in our end of the year clap out. Due to space constraints, each sixth grade student may have two adults attend the Award Ceremony and 6th Grade Promotion.

We hope to see all of our Highland families on the last day of school for our annual clap out! Due to a limited amount of parking at Highland, we ask that any families that are able to walk to the clap out, please do so. Please do not park in the Highland bus turnaround or the church parking lot.
