State Superintendent Dr. Ayala visits District 58 schools

District 58 enjoyed a visit from State Superintendent Dr. Carmen Ayala on the morning of Friday, May 6! Dr. Ayala joined Superintendent Dr. Kevin Russell, Board President Darren Hughes, and the building principals on a tour of Belle Aire and Hillcrest schools. At Belle Aire, she read a book and led an activity with first graders. At Hillcrest, she visited several of our special education programs and read a book to students in the Developmental Learning Program. Fun fact: Dr. Ayala lives in Downers Grove and is a proud former District 58 parent! Thank you, Dr. Ayala, for visiting our schools today!
