District 58 developed its Vision 58 Strategic Plan last year with strong community input. The Strategic Plan identified “Securing the Future” as one major goal area. As part of this goal, District 58 is developing a focused and long-term master facility plan that ensures safe, modernized and effective learning environments for all students. A Facility Planning Council formed last fall to achieve this goal.

During the upcoming visioning sessions, the Facility Planning Council will present its initial facility improvement ideas to the community for their thoughtful consideration and feedback. Both meetings will include a hands-on presentation and an opportunity for community members to ask questions and provide feedback. The same information will be presented at both meetings, so community members may attend whichever meeting is most convenient. No RSVP is required. The presentations will be posted online following the meetings.

The Facility Planning Council intends to analyze this feedback and use it to guide the master facility plan it is creating, as well as the next steps in the planning process. Please help District 58 plan for its future together!
