Application/Registration FAQ

Application and Registration Questions

When do applications open and is there a fee to apply?

Applications will be available on website [www.dg58.org/preschool] on January 27th, 2017. Please note that there is a $50 non-refundable application fee.

What is the application due date?

Deadline for application sorting is March 1st.  Any returning students or siblings who are new to the program have until that date to receive priority (priority is given first to existing students in the program and then to siblings of existing students then to new students with no current connections).

When will I know if my child(ren) have been accepted into the program?

Letters to families indicating acceptance or waitlist status will be sent on March 18th via mail.

If we are accepted into the program, when will registration be due?

All registration is due by April 20th, 2017.

What happens if I do not turn my registration in by April 20th?

Your spot will be given to someone on our waitlist and your name will be placed at the bottom of that list. After May 1st any waitlist student who becomes eligible will have 1 week to confirm a spot and 2 weeks to complete registration and payment to maintain a spot in Grove Children’s Preschool.

What do I need to complete registration?

You will need your child’s birth certificate, 3 proofs of residency, and the other forms that will be included in your acceptance packet. If possible, we ask that we have a current physical exam form completed for your child by registration. We are also asking that parents pay the first month’s tuition of $345 at registration which will be applied to the following September’s tuition payment.

If we are a Community family, when is our tuition due? Can we pay for a semester or the whole year ahead of time?

It is due on the first of every month and pays for the following month. For example, September 1st payments pay for October programming costs. Yes, you can pay as far in advance as you would like.
