PARCC is the Illinois State required assessment for English-Language Arts and Mathematics. The PARCC assessment is given to all our students in grades 3-6. These assessments will be administered to our students during the weeks of March 6-17. Students in grades 3-5 will have four Math testing sessions and three English Language Arts testing sessions. Grade 6 will have three Math testing sessions and three English Language Arts testing sessions. The week of March 20 will be utilized for any make up tests that may be necessary.Your child’s teacher will be notifying you of the specific assessment schedule for your child so that you can help your child by ensuring that they are well rested and have a nutritious breakfast and lunch on testing days. The PARCC assessment is an online assessment and students will need headphones. Our teachers will check to confirm that your child has a working set of headphones. Notices will be sent home to parents of children that do not have working headphone so that they can be replaced prior to testing. If you have questions about the PARCC Assessment please contact Mr. Coglianese or your child’s teacher.
