Second graders to Lyman Woods

Experience Lyman Woods Nature Center through the eyes of seven and eight-year-olds. All second graders take a field trip to Lyman Woods each fall. They learn about life cycles, bugs and invertebrates and more. Check out photos from our schools.

Opening day photo gallery

We visited Fairmount, Hillcrest, Indian Trail, Pierce Downer, O’Neill and Whittier on opening day and found families seeing their children off to school, teachers meeting their new students, classrooms organizing supplies, students getting to know each other and classes jumping into learning.
